The Living Space division, which applies to this vacancy, is one of the United Kingdom’s leading affordable housing contractors, working with RSL’s, Local Authorities and ALMO’s to create high quality homes that make a difference.
Their construction methods tend to take sustainability into account in terms of being ecologically friendly, by using timber frames, modular and volumetric methods amongst others.
The company is currently trying to extend their already expansive portfolio of residential housing schemes, including new build (which they have been doing since 1897), Home Improvement and Regeneration throughout the Yorkshire region, anticipating an exciting and busy future. The purpose of this role is to provide the functional leadership and management of services management resource on bids for major projects or a smaller cluster of projects. This will be done within either a region or a product stream, from pre-qualification through to completion. This person would typically be reporting to either the Bid Centre Manager or the Operations Manager, regarding projects.
It will be their duty to assist in setting the design process strategy for projects, assessing the services design risk and monitoring its mitigation and ensuring all of the services design management procedures are implemented. Their responsibility is also the monitoring of quality control regarding the installed works, progressively clearing defects and supervising their testing and commissioning. It is ultimately their responsibility to ensure the Building Services can be properly commissioned to programme and sufficient time is available for testing inspection and handover.
